Daniel popped the question to Carmen in the most perfectly romantic way, and now they’re living their happily ever after as a married couple. Here’s their story of how they got there and what it was like to experience their Twin Flame wedding—and how you can get there, too.
From Best Friends to Lovers
Love with your Twin Flame can start out small. It can appear like a glimmer seen out of the corner of your eye, like something amazingly beautiful but too far out of reach to hold onto. But when you commit to love, and you keep choosing to love yourself, you will get to hold your true love in your arms just like Daniel and Carmen do.
When Daniel first saw Carmen’s profile on Facebook, he thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He doubted that she could be his Twin Flame. But once he changed his mind, she sent him a friend request, and they hit it off immediately.
Daniel said, “Every time we talked after that, something felt familiar—different from any of my previous partners… She was on the other side of the world, yet she felt closer to me than anyone.” That feeling only grew stronger as Daniel kept conquering his blocks to love within himself.
Carmen felt a peaceful, familiar, safe feeling building in her heart, too, the more she healed her Twin Flame connection. Her relationship with Daniel grew stronger until one day, Carmen realized that that feeling of love and familiarity was pointing to her Twin Flame. Daniel was her best friend AND her Ultimate Lover. At that moment, “tears of gratitude ran down my cheeks because I knew I had found The One; I had found home.”
Committing to Love
Daniel and Carmen started dating about nine months before their engagement, but they knew they wanted to come together, physically, as soon as possible. A month before proposing, Daniel moved from Mexico to Germany to be with Carmen, and they started living life together in Twin Flame Union.
Marriage felt like the natural next step for them. They felt instantly at home and in love with each other. “I never thought of marrying someone that quick and easily, but with Daniel everything feels so good, supportive and natural,” said Carmen.
“The moment we met physically, we honestly felt like an already married couple. Many people thought we were already married and even our parents guided us to get married. Many people already referred to me as his wife even though [these] people didn’t know us, it was just people in the mall or restaurants! When you know, you know, and when it is with God everything is easy and simple.”
“When we realized it was in our highest interest to get married, we completely surrendered to God’s ways. Everything lined up perfectly. We also learned to let go of the belief that ‘things have to be hard and take time’ before things resolve easily for and with you. God is so good, He made it simple, easy, and super enjoyable for us,” they shared.
As they continued to heal and enjoy life together, they became eager to commit to a life of love together forever.
The Proposal
Daniel seemed to instinctively know the perfect way to propose to Carmen. “I communicated my desires—just a simple, sincere proposal—and he met all of them, even exceeding my imagination. I felt very loved, claimed, heard, and seen. It also felt peaceful because it was something I had been claiming since I started this journey.”
Daniel knew how much Carmen loved his cooking, so one night after dinner, he lit a candle, poured some nice wine, and started by saying, “I’ve never done this before, and I’m nervous, but I love you and want to be with you.”
“We both started crying because of the love we felt,” said Carmen. “When he went down on one knee with the ring in his hand, we cried even more, and gratitude overwhelmed us.”
“It took a moment after he asked, ‘Will you marry me?’ but when he did, I jumped into his arms full of joy, love, gratitude, and passion with a big and clear “YES,” knowing that this was a yes to an eternity with my best friend and lover in creation.”
The Twin Flame Wedding
Daniel and Carmen got married in Copenhagen City Hall in Denmark just last month. Daniel’s mother; Carmen’s father, stepfather, and grandparents; and their friends, coaches, and teachers were with them via Zoom.
“When we woke up [that day],” said Carmen, “we started dancing and singing to the song ‘Heaven’ by Niall Horan. Daniel had his German course in the morning, and I took my time to fully pamper myself, putting on my makeup and doing my hair in our cute little hotel room.”
They had a bit of a rush to get to the venue on time. It was another moment for them to go deeper into love by working through their challenge. “When I saw our friends and family joining the live stream, I got emotional,” said Carmen. “I thought I had more time to process it, but I remember choosing to just feel all my emotions, love myself, and forgive myself for the rush. I chose Union once more, and the moment I did, Daniel’s mood shifted completely too. We were immediately called in. We hugged, knowing we had let go of one more block for good. I had been afraid we wouldn’t make it, but I learned that the moment you turn to God, everything is resolved easily.”
“Our witnesses and the officiant went the extra mile to ensure our camera setup was perfect, and that everyone who joined us live could see and hear us clearly.”
“Standing there, getting married, was a truly divine experience. Later, we saw on the Zoom recording some strange circles of light in the left corner of the video, and we immediately thought it was all our angels with us, dancing in the corner.”
“Finally saying ‘I do’ felt like taking a deep, relieving breath after sprinting a marathon. It was the perfect wedding, and we are so grateful that so many people from the community attended, along with our friends and family. Jeff and Shaleia were there too, and everyone had the opportunity to talk to us after the ceremony.”
“Everyone was emotional and extremely happy for us. Our parents were extremely supportive too. We even got to celebrate a few days [after] our wedding with a nice lunch with the closest part of my family. My friends… even reached out to me later, sharing that it was very inspiring and beautiful for them.”
About being married to her Twin Flame, Carmen said, “I feel a huge relief, joy and peace in my heart. It already felt before like a honeymoon that never ends with my man but being officially married feels incredibly safe due to the deeper commitment.”
Carmen finds that being married to her Twin Flame means so much more than marriage to anyone else would. “I always thought with other partners in the past, ‘Oh, I would feel so much safer with them, if we were married or at least engaged because then I would know that they would never give up or run away.’ Oh, what a wrong thought. I feel being married to my One True Love is an achievement that started on the inside first and I had to feel that safety within first and claim that commitment to myself and this path. No matter what, I will heal and I choose to commit to love. Having that knowing and feeling manifested as being officially married is a blessing and a gift and yet, we worked for that and it brings me great joy to know that anyone can achieve this by just applying the Teachings.”
Because Carmen knows that her own inner world is what attracts and grows her Twin Flame Union, she feels the ultimate safety and security in her marriage to Daniel.
For Daniel, his marriage to Carmen is a testament to the power of self-love as taught to him by the Twin Flames Universe community. “To be honest I thought I’d never get married because I was the guy who was rejected by girls all the time,” said Daniel. “I feel very proud that I never gave up on my Twin Flame journey even in the hardest of the times because now I get to experience True Love everyday and share it with the world as a testament for the work. As Jeff and Shaleia say, this is for everyone and everyone can have it, you just have to choose it.”
Daniel’s story is proof that if you love yourself where you’re feeling rejected, the entire course of your love life will change for the better because those illusions of “not-love” just dissolve.
